Book Review Policy

I review books.
When I review books for free, it is on my own schedule. I try to make it work for your schedule, but sometimes it just can’t happen. I will *NEVER* publish a review before the publisher/ author/ PR firm/ whatever says. I fully acknowledge a lot of other people’s hard work goes into making books fly, and I will always honor embargo dates.
If you send me a book for free to review, I will acknowledge that in the post.
If I’ve been paid to review a book, I will acknowledge that too (email me for terms/ rates).
If my review appears in print somewhere, yep, that goes in my post, even if it’s just my neighborhood newsletter.
If you send me a book that doesn’t do much for me, and I don’t review it … send me better books. If you think a review is too short, think of it more as a blurb.
I review:
Anything in comics form
Books About Books
Mysteries
History
Historical Fiction
Travel
Memoir
Humor
Uncategorizeable nonsense that mumbles gibberish inside my mailbox, scaring my mailman
YA in these categories
FTC Disclosure:
If I receive free books from authors, publishers, or their representatives for review in exchange for an honest opinion, I acknowledge that at the end of my review.
I frequently receive books from friends, family, acquaintances, enemies, and benevolent bibliohobos. I also buy a lot of books.
